In September, Marvel’s introducing Miles as the new official ‘Spiderman’, after Peter Parker was killed off for good in June. He’s half-black and half-hispanic, with a completely new backstory/mantra to boot.
Not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited for this. It’ll be interesting to see how they revamp the series.

I swear, if JK Simmons is replaced as JJJ… I’ll become very upset. :(
Best thing to happen to those movies.
I concur.
Two gems from today’s haul: #1 of Millar’s take on Spider Man and a holographic variant #1 of the limited Venom series from 1992.
Stoked.
IT’S HERE IT’S HERE IT’S FINALLY HERE!
Such a bangin’ first issue! I’m really excited for this line.
But forreal though, why you gotta be such a dude, Scott? Can’t you just listen to Emma and let the whole Jean-Grey thing go already?
‘cause we gotta see this awesome line play out that’s why.
WHO DO YOU STAND WITH?
(Props to Velocity Comics for opening their doors this evening so we could get our grubby paws on this one early, even if you guys decided to officially go Team X-Men.)
I really loved this issue of Ultimate Spider-Man. The way that Nick Fury took Miles under his wing, and the way the rest of the Avengers followed suit (even if it was a tad reluctantly) was great to read. Even though he’s still getting his bearings, the fact that his own heroes are an instrumental part of his upbringing is just rad.
This is one of the best titles out there right now.
Ashleigh’s Emma Frost cosplay from NYCC made Marvel.com!
I AM TIGHT WITH ROYALTY~
One of the coolest gifts I’ve ever received: ASM Brand New Day Vol. 1 signed by none other than Stan Lee himself!
Happy 90th Birthday, Stan ‘The Man’ Lee!
My little sister is obsessed with robotics.
She’s one of only a handful of girls in digital engineering at her 2000+ student high-school.
She aspires to one day rule the world.
She also acts like a 17-year-old Tony Stark.
I am confident in her abilities.
One of the headlines on CNN reads ‘Stan ‘The Man’ Musial dies at 92.
I only got to ‘Stan The-Man..’ and had twelve heart attacks before I nearly started crying.
Then I read the rest, and turns out it was a Hall-of-Fame baseball player who played for the Cardinals.
Though it’s a bummer that he died, I cannot deny being relieved that it wasn’t Stan Lee.
