April 30-Day Challenges
-30 good push-ups/30 good sit-ups per day. No bullshit. -No consuming chocolate. In any capacity. -No operating a phone while in a vehicle (will be difficult). -No writing involving dreams, the word and the concept, in any capacity whatsoever. Let’s go.
the thought police: So the best venue in our scene... →
mikeshafer: keepersofthebeach: supposedly someone complained because it was out of zone for concerts. This is terrible for our scene. The other leading venue doesn’t allow hardcore shows because the incompetent security cannot handle it. Relevant has a “banned list” much longer than any guest list the selfish owner, Pastor… As much as I hate some of the things Pastor Mike does, Branden was...
: In hopes of finding a new venue for Virginia... →
mikeshafer: We all know that we have a great scene that seems to be slowly dying from the inside. With each loss of a venue, VB takes a harsh blow. There are a few buildings that have been brought to my attention that seem to be an idle location for something that we can attempt to recreate something… This dude’s got heart. Get the word out and donate. Keep local music alive.
Today is a fantasy.
I don’t know what the next few hours will entail, or what it will mean for the next calendar two months, but whatever happens, I can’t believe the opportunities that were just presented to me. Holy. Fuck. I’ll see you on the other side.

This book contains 5 stories from each of his six releases, plus 15 rare/unreleased stories and other quips of wisdom. In short, this is something of a ‘greatest hits’ for him, so...
I wish I was at SXSW right now.
No joke. It’s always been a dream of mine to go, to be part of it and see that many bands in four days. I’ve always heard nothing but good things about it. Next year, I’m going to do my best in making this happen somehow. For now, I need to find a job in Richmond, and figure out how to start working at the Amphitheatre in the summer.
I need some inspiration.
